Based on award-winning director Peter Jackson's big-budget remake of the landmark 1933 Cooper and Schoedsack film, this video game version of King Kong is designed to convey the action and excitement the massive monster inspires, as well as the poignancy and emotion of the melancholy "beauty and the beast" story line. Gameplay comes in two styles: In control of the ambitious hero Jack Driscoll, players fight for their own survival from a first-person perspective, while in the empowering role of the mighty Kong himself, players have a third-person perspective that allows them to take in their surroundings, and take better control the massive ape in battle. Enix's internationally popular Dragon Quest saga continues in this 3D adventure for PlayStation 2. The game tells the story of a spiteful court jester who finds a magic scepter and unleashes a terrible curse, turning peasants into thorns and nobles into wild beasts. Players take the role of an unassuming castle guard who is somehow spared by this curse, although it seems to have afflicted nearly everyone else in the land. To save the kingdom, the hero must recruit allies, explore the countryside, and battle the many enemies that stand between him and his quest. Combat is turn-based, and players can customize the ways in which individual party members fight. The North American release of Dragon Quest VII features additional cut scenes and voice acting not present in the Japanese original.

The classic Super Mario Bros. 2 action game has been updated for Game Boy Advance with enhanced graphics and sound.
