Set in the mythical world of Middle-Earth, The Hobbit is an action-adventure game in which the player assumes the role of Bilbo Baggins. Players control Bilbo from his peaceful Hobbit hole in Hobbiton into the dark and harrowing Mirkwood forest, then finally to the Lonely Mountain, in which lies Smaug the dragon. Sent on a journey by Gandalf, Bilbo is accompanied by Thorin the dwarf and his stout and sturdy cohorts. Along the way, he'll encounter evil elves, trolls, orcs, spiders, wolves, and more. Help Bilbo acquire items, knowledge, and in the case of a Hobbit, courage to help him complete the quest.

Players resume the tension-heavy role of NSA operative Sam Fischer for this third game in the Tom Clancy stealth-action spin-off series, Splinter Cell. A new kind of war is being fought in 2008, and information is the weapon. Levels were built to offer more possible paths to their objectives -- and more opposition as well. Two-player infiltration is supported, however, allowing gamers to use teamwork to overcome the most challenging obstacles.The PlayStation 2 version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory supports a cooperative multiplayer mode in split-screen and an online "Versus" mode for Internet-connected players.
